The Nightmare Before Christmas

The film is an adaptation of a poem of Tim Burton. Burton writes it while taking as a starting point the the diffused tele programs with Christmas and its passion for Dr.Seuss, writer for children who imagined inter alia How the Grinch stole Christmas, which knew since an adaptation animated by Chuck Jones. But the poem was written whereas Burton was employed at Disney ... However, they seized the occasion, gave the green light to Burton and proposed to produce film. Burton initially thought of making adapt the poem by Michael McDowell (its scenario writer for Beetlejuice) before directing itself towards a musical project with the collaboration of Danny Elfman. As usual, the 2 men include themselves without difficulties and Elfman manages to express exactly until Burton waits, starting from only some discussions and of the some sketches outlined at the time of the poem by Burton. In 2 to 3 months, Danny Elfman composed all the songs which have a true narratif, and even emotional role, with respect to the history.

I love The Nightmare Before Christmas because of the story, the poetry side of the story :) who wouldn't ? The characters are fantastic and fabulous, all of them ! everywhere, in every picture, in every lyric : poetry, beauty and imagination ...
I really love the way Tim Burton puts fire at the Xmas tree with Jack the skeleton and The Nightmare before Christmas ... My words are too poor to express this movie is one of my favourite. Ready for a fairy tale to back ? ,)
